Adriano has over two decades of experience advising financial institutions and major market participants, with a particular focus on structuring cross-border transactions and providing strategic counsel in complex regulatory environments. His practice covers the structuring of debt transactions and sophisticated credit and derivatives transactions, in Brazil and abroad, as well as regulatory advisory work on product development, internal governance of financial and payment institutions, and licensing applications before the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). Throughout his career, he has participated in significant regulatory discussions and in the implementation of innovative structures involving financial products, risk management, and corporate governance. Adriano brings extensive in-house experience, having served as Head of Legal of Banco XP and as Legal Manager across different areas of Itaú Unibanco — a background that informs a practical, strategic, and business-oriented perspective, particularly valuable in complex transactions and in engagement with regulators. He holds a law degree from the University of São Paulo Law School (USP), an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, and a specialization degree from FGV Direito SP.
