Profile

Luis has over 20 years of experience advising asset managers, investment banks, and institutional investors in the capital and real estate markets. His practice includes transactions involving hybrid capital and debt operations, securitizations, structured funds (REITs, FIAGROS, and FIPs), complex urban and rural real estate transactions, and sophisticated disputes. He has worked on billion-dollar transactions involving financing, acquisition, and development of urban and rural assets, including several prominent assets (trophy assets) and large pulp and paper industries, as well as complex negotiations of build-to-suit, sale and leaseback, and exchange contracts, up to the structuring of projects and financing of various types for developers and entrepreneurs. Luis is recognized as one of the most experienced lawyers in the Brazilian capital and real estate markets. He was a foreign associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York and an Assistant Professor of Commercial Law at PUC/SP.

Advisory services to the HGRU11 Fund in the structuring, public offering, and acquisition of all income-generating real estate portfolio assets (14 assets) of a Successpar fund traded on the stock exchange, and the transfer of all shareholders from the selling fund to the acquiring fund.
